At some point in the distant past, I had an Amazon Echo connected and reconfigured the remote for that. I tried that, only to get a message on the small UMC-200 panel that Alexa and Analog-1 were now connected. I read in another thread that because the UMC-200 remote does not have an "ARC" button like the MC-700 does, that the trick is to push the TV button instead. In fact, when I finally put the optical cable into service, the TV flashed "Emotiva audio is now available", or something like that on the screen. The TV recognizes that both the HDMI and optical cables are there. FWIW, I have also connected the units with an optical cable as well. I have connected the two with a brand-new high speed HDMI cable, as well as with a couple different older cables. HDMI-2 is the ARC-out on the TV and HDMI-4 is the ARC input/output on the UMC-200. Because the UMC-200 will not pass a 4K video signal, I need to run source material straight into the TV and redirect audio from the TV to the UMC-200. I recently replaced my old plasma TV set with the LG 55-OLED-C1 in my 5.1 signature system.
